Rattle..Rattle..Rattle..

Finally got a new trans in the gt and am driving it for the first time here since September when the trans went on it. Did an oil change and some up keep the other night, and I noticed something the other day when I'm on the gas, just under normal load it sounds like a rattling noise is coming from the motor. So I popped the hood just now to check on it, and I remember the same noise from over a year ago, but it was coming from the bottom side of the motor then and we ended up putting in new rod bearings and it took care of the problem. This time it seems to be coming from the top of the motor..so I'm clueless..any ideas? I can't win with this damn car

Headers loose after taking the trans out and in? Is your clutch cable rattling or rubbing against anything?

blkmcnasty...didn't have to remove the headers when we took the trans out, and the clutch is fine....

Dal....yeah its just while under load..idle it sounds normal

take off your belt and start the car. that will eliminate any sounds from the P/S pump, alt, water pump. youll hear only your engine noise.

Try some fule injector cleaner and 93 octane in it , mine done the same thing after sitting a while

Check your Midpipe you may be hitting something under there.

so it's not the midpipe, or anything rattling against anything..it went away for a little bit the other day, but now the tanks empty so I'm going to put some fuel injector cleaner in and 93 and see what happens......
