It only happens once in a while, I can't repeat it, but it seems to only happen at slow speeds. I can even feel it. Is this bitch about to go out? It's not on a mustang, but a Dakota.

Last timei had a clunk coming from ym rearend, i launched on giggle gas and blew the inside of the pumpkin into about a million pieces. as far as other clunking... when i launch really hard in my current car, with all the bushings being toast and needing a new tranny mount, i have lots of clunks...

Check your u-joints. make sure that the vehicle wheels are chocked, put it in nuetral and check for play. You want it in neutral to make sure it is not jammed up in the joint. If that is not it, you most likely have a rear end problem. Sometimes a standard trans problem can sound and feel like a rear or u-joint.
