Hi guys, just bought a 95 mustang v6 and wanted to know what type of lsd would work but I am not sure the size to buy. Some stores have them listed as 28 or 31 spline but I dont know what the factory specs are or what size rear end is on the car.

I am new to mustangs and very excited to get the project started, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the rear end in your V6 is a 7.5" axle, you will need to buy a LSD specific for this axle.

the only LSD available on the 7.5" axle is a 28 spline

since you didnt say anything about new gears to go along with the LSD, i assume you were only going to add the LSD. if you have everything out, you might want to look into getting new gears put in at the same time as the LSD.

the stock gear ratio in a 95 V6 is 2.73, and some 3.73 or 4.10's would make driving it so much more enjoyable.

i did the same with my 96. it wasn't a ton different but it was noticeable. it was a great 40.00 investment. it is a direct swap and it also pushes the wheels out an inch or so.
