Hi,

I think my rear main seal is leaking. Is there a special tool that is needed to replace this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you get the napa seal it will come with an install tool. I've used some small hooks that they sell at Harbor Freight to pull it off, they look like the tools dentists use to scrape your teeth. A small flathead screwdriver works too just don't scratch the crank.

Also make sure it's your rear main seal and not the rear of your lower intake leaking. Sucks doing all that work and it still leaks after you finish it up

Stay away from the cork gaskets if you're going to replace them, look for the OEM gaskets that have the metal core
