Well.. you answered your own question, lol. I have also heard some guys use carriage bolts? I think I'd prefer the plugs. Or get a wingless lid and repaint it..

rear wing delete?

yup you got it, plastic plugs will do the trick... I used 4 plastic push pins and wing nuts on the back to hold them in place

Could always take it in and have a body shop weld up the holes for you. That is what I am going to do.

unless you have a rio red car like mine. hahaha. are those just plastic interior rivets? i will probably do that till i figure it out. took it off today....the holes are pretty big....there are 5....4 for the mount, 1 for the 3rd brake light. i would buy a spoilerless deck lid off ebay but i have a cobra and love the no 3rd brake light look. anyone know where i could find a clean spoilerless decklid with no 3rd brake light? might just have a body shop do it.

decided i will have the trunk lid on it taken to the shop and filled and painted. was considering buying one off of ebay or cl but realised all the wingless have the 3rd brake light. mine being a cobra does not.....which i find very sexy for some reason. well....gonna get some more work donw tomorrow. and some pics up.
