F2SF-9B989-CA is the number on my sons, I can't seem to find a replacement.

From what I read there are 2 types and different calibrations?
Is this true?

Can I use a different one?
I need to get one right away to get his car back up and running.

Grab one from the local parts house. "Calibration" is irrelevant.

I'll check my spare parts bucket when I get home though.

Ok, grabbed another one, damn voltage is still off and high, I am at a loss, no injector pulse but I have fuel, spark and will run on ether.

Voltage is reading 3.9v closed and 1v WOT

I might have to make another post

Post a picture of the TPS bolted to the throttle body. Just show enough so one can see the orientation and the TB. Since the voltages are reversed and the TPS is a simple wire coil resistor it seems like it's installed backwards if that's possible.

I am not near the car right now, but the original TPS that was in there was reading 3.7-9v at close but I didn't move the butterfly to see if it went to 1.00 with that one, but I am going to assume it must have since this new one is reading the same closed voltage.

Definitely can't be installed backwards.

Here is what I know-

Car ran fine when he took it to work, came out of work, gave a "quick" I want to start but died and hasn't started since.

- Distributor was in need of replacing as the bushing were shot and it squeaked, was hoping it might be the PIP and then be done with it, but its not it. Another distributor is installed and no go.
- Will run on ether only as long as I spray.
- 38lbs of fuel pressure and I hear the pump turn on, tested at the schrader with a Fuel Pressure Gauge
- Coil wire is producing spark as I stuck a screw driver in the end of the wire and put it near ground.
- Pulled off wire 5, stuck screw driver in and held near ground, spark upon rotation.
- took off an injector connector and it has 12v to the red wire upon key turning forward.

I ran codes and we already know the transmission needs to be flushed and shutter fixed as it shutters, so that is some of the codes but the damn thing goes so fast I am having a hell of a time keeping track of what code it throwing, here is a video. http://youtu.be/DMEEjWsryFU

With this new distributor, this is more then I got before.

I also tried a Mallory Promaster Classic Series coil I had laying around, and ran some jumper wires to the leads from the engine harness, has good spark with both this and the stock coil.

I just picked up at Noid tester, no blinky dinky
Never used one, I assume just plug it in to injector harness, crank and watch for a light corrrect?

I used the Bosch-2 in the bottom row as it fit.

Ran codes again

Codes are as follows (which I know I have to get the trans flushed and shutter snake oil put in )

Anything here a clue for no injector pulse ?

- 553 - Air management 2 circuit failure (AM1/TAD)
- 564 - Electro-Drive Fan circuit failure
- 558 - EGR Vacuum Regulator circuit failure
- 565 - Canister purge circuit failure
- 652 - Modulated Converter Clutch Control solenoid output circuit error
- 625 - Electronic Pressure Control driver open in EEC

Which led me to the TPS and where I am right now....no injector pulse and from what I can tell the TPS is not reading right.
I got the voltage off the 2 bottom wires, which I forget what colors they were, but it wasn't the top redish one.

I see how it is adder that you are willing to drive all the way across that state to fix a newby's car but not make the short and exciting trip to Indiana to help a long time member. I get the same treatment from direct tv and my cellular provider....... :)

Yer a lucky dude to have him offer to help.

Hi Addermk2 I dropped you a PM yesterday, didn't know if you got it ok?
Obviously today and tomorrow are probably a wash due to the damn rain, didn't know what your plans or thoughts were?
Again, my son and I thank you very much for the offer!

Man....I hate to keep posting as I feel like a nag now, but if you can't help (which I am honestly not upset about) I just need to know as he needs this car back on the road for a new job next week, so I will have to get it towed somewhere this weekend if I can't trouble shoot it out tomorrow morning.

If you could let me know either way that would be great, like I said, no hard feelings at all if you changed your mind due to time or distance, but I just need to know before I tow it out. :undecided:

Again....I thank you for the offer regardless, just kinda lost on if I need to move it out or will have some help.

I got your message, but please understand that I work a full time job, have things to take care of at home, and can't just drop everything to help. My only available days are on the weekend, as I said in the reply I sent to your PM.

There is no need to get snippy.

Awe now see, THIS is not what I wanted you to think at all man, seriously, and I totally understand about life, I have a full time job and 4 kids too. :(

I see you said you sent a reply to my PM, I honestly have nothing at all in my inbox, just the original one from the site owner welcoming me when I signed up. If you did reply, I honestly don't have anything message wise and I am SO sorry, I can see why you would think I am being snippy. Please please don't think that at all and accept my apology if I came off that way.

I really hope you understand, as I don't want you feeling this way regardless.
I will PM you my cell, if you are up to it, just let me know.

Thank you again
