(Figured I would post this here as well as general tech)

One of the relays in my CCRM has gone bad and rather than spend the $100 for a new CCRM, I'm going to open it and replace the defective relay. Unfortunately I'm a bit of an electronics noob, so if someone could tell me which relay I need for the high and low fan speeds, I would greatly appreciate it. :angel4:

It's possible. People have done it before. Hell, the CCRM is just a box covering an electrical board with a few relays in it.

2 relays for the fan, 1 for the hi and 1 for the low.
Are you sure you have the signal going into the ccrm in the first place.
No signal in mean no signal out.
Better to get new one, then learn on the old.

My brother did the tests on the CCRM and we're pretty certain it's a relay. I'm not real inclined to spend $100 on a part when I can bust it open and replace a single relay. My problem is I don't know what kind/specifications the relay would be.

Once you open the box write down the numbers on the relays and do a search on Digikey or Google or EBay. Desolder/remove the old relays. Be careful not to damage the board. Might as well replace all three. Replace/solder new ones in place. You might test the the CCRM before you seal it back up. Easy enough if you have the knowledge, skills and tools or know someone who does. This might help http://www.mustang-tech.org/wiki/94-95_Mustangs_Electrical_CCRM

It is easy to do. My a/c went out and I went to radio shack and got the relay I don't have the part number but just get it from the old relay. I got a 9v relay it works fine. The soldering was easy or you can go to a tv repair shop and have it soldered.
