I'm about to attempt this. I bought an Electron top and rear glass. I also got a well liner and a "how to" dvd for the '94-'04s. Anybody have some helpful tips?

Well, after watching the dvd it doesn't look too hard. Just a lot of damn staples to remove.

Since I bought mine, I have bought 2 saddle tops. I then made the switch to a black one. Done by 2 diff spots. I drop it off & come get it like 7-8 hours later. No idea how to do it!! I just know I would ever try it myself. I think on another forum, I think, a member just redid his? Good luck!!

a friend of mine did it straight from the ehow step by step. turned out good just a little tight.

personally i took the easy route, I bought a parts car with a new top on it and swapped the frame and hydraulics. about 30 bolts no staples, and removing the interior. real easy I could probably pull a vert top assembly out in 2 hours now.

plus i parted enough stuff to make the top pay for its self. im up about $150 from that car.

I got it done. It wasn't bad at all. It took a long time, but I did it all myself. Having an extra set of hands would have made things go alot quicker. It all seems pretty simple to me now. Mark the trim sticks where the old top and rear window section were. The new top has marks as well. Put a few staples in the rear window section and see how it fits. If it doesn't look good then make adjustments until it's right. The top gets glued on in the front and sides so you just pull it apart to make adjustments in those areas. The rear part of the top is stapled and you have to unbolt the rear rail to make adjustments which is a pita. If your not replacing the back glass section it would be a piece of cake.
