Buttonwillow. I haven't done a drag strip since LACR was shut down in 2007.

Yeah, going to buttonwillow for the first time. Should be an interesting experience.

Here is the car pre-track on the new wheels. Hopefully someone captured my car on photo at the track, if I get those pictures I'll post them.

Car is a LOT faster, but still has a fair amount of understeer. The rear is super planted, I can get on power almost immediately, and there is a lot of traction, however the front does not inspire a whole lot of confidence. I'm thinking that I should go with a thicker rear sway bar to shift the grip balance to the front. I definitely have a lot of it in the back, so I can give up some of it.

For a quick test you could try unbolting the front sway. It'll have almost the same effect as a stiffer rear without having to buy the bar. Increasing the front track isn't really an option as I don't think you have the room in the fender. Are you running spacers in the rear? If so, removing them to reduce rear track will effectively increase your front. And do you have adjustable coilovers in the front? If so, can they go softer? Any of those are potential ways to reduce understeer. Of course, you could just get a larger rear bar :)

So, I made a post on Corral about the rear bar sizes, and someone contacted me about the rear bar they were selling. We worked out the price, and soon I'll be a proud owner of MM adjustable rear sway bar. The thickness of the tube is 7/8 x .120, so this makes it about the same as Cobra rear bar in the softest setting. Hopefully with the right setting, this will give me the neutrality that I'm looking for.

I'm interested in seeing how the install of the bar goes - iirc it's not a simple bolt-up affair to the existing bolt holes in the LCA's.

Yah I've read them before when I was looking into getting one. Lol, I actually read the MM install instructions "for fun" on a lot of different things they sell - helps me (and has helped me) to get a better understanding of how the car goes together and the effort needed for certain improvements. I recall that one not being very friendly.
