its in!!! Got the wiring sorted out for the overhead. didn't realize how much there would be but after temp sensors, speed sensors, dimmer/power/gound not to mention the other crap I am installing it added up. I took pieces of my sound damping(Second skin) and cut them into strips that were used to secure the wires. This is an old installer trick that works great/looks great and can always be pulled off later. I also ran the wire inbetween the body panels where I could to reduce problems with the headliner so I used split loom tubing to insulate the sharp edges from the wire.

After that I used a couple dabs of silicon on the top of the headliner to replace the stock glue and then moved it into place. After that the consol easily snapped into place and blends in with the lines of the headliner well enough to look like it could belong there. The back portion again is not finished well because I am not finished with it. I threw a coat of paint on it just so it would not totally stick out, more on that later.

I'll be the first hater: whoever put that video on YouTube is a moron. ZZ Top has never recorded Low Rider. They probably disabled comments because everyone was calling them out on it.

But seriously, though, I can't wait to see the finished result. I'm planning to do an overhead console in my Cobra (not for air suspension, though)

if that is all the hate I get on this post them I am doing well :)

its a nice fit and I am happy with it. The back part is made to hold a remote for a garage door opener with some velcro and then you just push the button in the middle. Normally where the ride-tech display is there are 2 map/entry lights. If I had kept them I probably would have covered the stock hole in the middle and then used the new lights myself

looking good so far scott. not sure how i feel about the stripe down the middle. i think it's too skinny. i know it ties in with everything else but just kind of looks out of place to me. maybe once it's all back together and some full interior shots are taken it will match better.

wut he said with the exception of the condorf comment I am not sure what that is ab out so I neither accept nor deny any part of it till I figure it out.... That is the inside hooks that the visors clip into. The drivers side has been removed for a little while now to add a monitor to it, the passenger side I had just not put up yet. They both end right at the consol.

oh, ok then, well then I endorse the condorf remark and sometimes resemble it as well.

Boy we shoulda told ya the SRS model came with front coat hangers and see if you would have bit huh? 3 nights ago a chic thats a friend of a friend of a friend on x-box live(I don't want to bang her so dunno really) said her headlight was out and she was going to have her dad look at it. I was THIS close to having her tell her dad to check her headlight fluid and if I just could have had another buddy chime in with agreement and we could have pushed that joke over the edge.Hell I would have been happy if my one buddy didn't start laughing like a schoolgirl before he could turn his mic off but none-the-less a good time was had by all.

You can sit on my shoulders and we will sneek up and get tony sometime with that punch. I can sneek like a ninja even with another man on my shoulders - don't ask me how I know that....
