OK is the preferred style of rocker arm the Ford pedestal mount or the Chevy adjustable? And what would be the advantage of ether one?

I'm looking to get a set of AFR 165 or 185 and you have a choice of which style you can get. So I need to know which ones are the better choice. When I figure out what I need I'll know what to look for.

Thinks for all the info. I just wonted to know which was better before I got a set. Now that I know I got a set of Crane Cam energizers for $50 bucks. Thinks for the help again.

Energizers are Pedestal arn't they??

Either way unless your making 500+ hp, pedestal will be fine but, they are correct..Stud mount is definitley stronger.

HP has nothing at all to due with pedestal rockers being weak...its the HD valve springs

and i think 5/16 pedestal bolts are only good to about 350# springs

I have heavy duty .600 lift springs with Cobra 1.7's - no issue here. I contacted crane before hand to make sure I wouldn't run into a problem with a broken rocker. The tech at Crane told me unless I am running over 500HP I shouldn't have an issue.

Hopefully I am going to be alright..
