Hey y'all,
So I was told that in order to have a roll bar tie the car together and reduce chassis flex that I would need to have it go through the floor and welded into the chassis as opposed to just having it welded into the floor. Is this true or are they just trying to jack up the bill? I'm just cant come up with an answer on this one I dont know why major brain fart. also if anyone knows NHRA rules, I don't even know if they allow rool bars to be welded into the chassis. I'm all kinds of confused on this one fellas if anyone cane help me out It'd be awesome.

Well yes and no, the chassis is your frame in the front/rear of the car. It is actually the 'floor' in areas, but the goal is to make it strong incase your roll cage ever gets used for the intended roll or accident. A good cage shop will do a 6 point cage, 2 points close to the rear shock towers, 2 at the b-pillar (behind front seats), and 2 at the floor just below your dash. Each mounting point will have larger plates welded to the pick up points, and the cage tubes will be welded to the plates. It won't go through the 'floor'. Make sense?

Bingo ... RichV is on point ... I've got the mm cage in my ride but in my fox we welded the cage and tied it into my subframe connectors and stuff . My yellow car has through floor subframes so Flex doesn't happen
