Rough idle??

So as of now I have a e303 cam in my car and my car idles around 800-1000. About 30mins ago I got gas at the chavron and I go to start my car and it starts at a idle of 2k and slooowly drops down to place and seems to idle weird. I give it some gas and try to keep it going then i let off. Then I prosume to to leave and put it in first and it dies on me. So I start it back up, idle does the same thing and im able to this time drive home. Could the idle have to anything with my exhaust leak from the header possibly getting my spark plug wires too hot? I noticed when I popped my hood that it seemed really hot coming from that passenger side.
