RPM's going crazy

Whats going on, So since ive own my cy car my rpms work and they dont not sure whats going on there the car drives fine but the rpm dont work all the time they move all the way around or rev rediculously just wondering if any one else has had this problem thanks

You might want to be a little more specific... And, (no offense) but punctuation would help too... So does just the Tachometer (RPM gauge)
needle bounce around, with the engine speed staying the same, or the engine speed is dramatically changing too??

OK my rpm don't always work, sometimes when I start the car the rpm needle will work fine cuz the idle is right, then sometimes when i start the car the rpm needle stays dead it doesn't move, as well when i drive the car the mph needle works fine but the rpm needle is random it will work then die or just stay dead, as i accelerate through gear sometimes the rpm needle will rise rapidly when I'm just cruising.?
