If you use an SCT xcal to turn off your check engine light and then take your car in for emissions test will the code scanner that they use just tell you that the computer is not ready? I guess my question is, is an sct tuner basically the same as an obdII scanner in that respect. I know if you use a basic scanner to erase codes then the computer will just be set to not ready.

You need to drive it for at least 15 minutes anytime you clear the codes. The SCT will turn off the rear O2 sensor's which I believe is your problem.

Hey Mike what I was wondering is will the emissions test machine be able to tell that the SCT turned it off like it did with the standard OBDII scanner.
