I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this. but...

Seafoam in before or after oil change?

I'm thinking before so you clean all the gunk out then change the oil any sludge might be sitting in.

What do you guys do?

I never could tell a difference i have done both. Just make sure you change your plugs when you do it.

How we clean out gunked motors is we run 1 gallon of Delo 15-40w for a 2500 miles. We just add conventional oil to it as its needed.

I have never added seafoam to oil as it can wash the coating from the bearings and cylinder walls. We use it in the tank, or pour into the throttle body.

I have done the age old trick of running half a Quart of Auto Tranny Fluid in the motor for 500 Miles. It cleaned the hell out of the inside of that thing.

i also only do seafoam through a vacumn port. Or the B&G 3 step

lmao Paul.

It worked for me, but I did it through a vacuum line. I have done both with the oil, but didn't notice a big difference until I changed it.

Yes... do the seafoam before oil change.. suck the bottle( well 3/4s of a bottle through the vacuum line)let the car keep running until its about to die then kill it.. let the car sit for 15 minutes or so.. start... and go have fun pissing people off 007 style.. Be sure to take the car through a range of RPMs.. It will take a while to get all the smoke to stop..

I mean your not going to be like.. WOA i feel more power.. but it seemed to run a little smoother..

I used seafoam in one of my old cars. I think I have even ran it through my old mustang motor. But never took in concideration when the best time to use it was around oil change time. My Sonoma is basically getting 12-14 mpg so I want to throw some in and change the plugs and wires maybe. I think it needs a little tune up if its drinking gas like that. Costing me a fortune to go to work and back at 80 miles/day.
