So I want to put some different seats in my 67. I've been looking around and I don't really know what I want. I don't know whether I want to go new school and throw some Corbeaus or Recaros in it or to go old school and get Procars or something... I have my stockers out of my 95 and I was thinking about having them recovered with black vinyl and have it sewn to look like the seats that are in it so I can keep the stock rear seat in it. Anyone know how much that runs? The driver seat will probably need a little foam too so just remember that. Of course I would sell the 95s if I decide to get completely different seats which will help offset the cost of new ones. I'm not TOO worried about price because I can always save up. So what do you guys think I should go with? Post up some pics too if they're not that common. I'm just trying to get some ideas. Thanks guys

Oh, thats gonna require some thought. The original std. seats lack seriously. These are what my '66 Coupe had. The deluxe seats are better. You could buy the deluxe foam buns and repop upholstery and just reuse the frames you have or..... go to the complete Bullitt / Mack 1 seat assemblies.

Lots of choices out there.

Whats different about teh deluxe seats?

I cannot stand sliding around so much in those things. Its like a couple pieces of cardboard with slick vinyl on them.

That seat stuff is for a Fox body's seats though, not the SN95 seats like waht I have. They do look good, but they won't work.

The '65/'66 "Pony" interior and the "67+ "Deluxe" interior options offered a better all-around interior. Upgraded seat padding and material, door panels/hardware, feau woodgrain dash and in the case of the '65-'66, a woodgrain steering wheel.

In your case, the seat frame is the same. Just order some new repop deluxe seat "buns"(foam), a deluxe upholstery kit and a set of hogring pliers and go at it. If you want the whole interior, thats gonna require door panels, door handles and some other items. These things will also increase the value of the car some too.

Look up some pic's of the early generation cars and look close at the interior pieces. You'll quickly see the differences.

I knew the difference between deluxe and standard (Stainless steel) but I never knew there was a difference in seats. I can't really tell a difference in pictures, but I doubt they are as aggressive as I'd like for bolstering. I got spoiled by the 01 Cobras I had in my 95 and the seats in my mom's Silverado SS, both of which had nice, supportive bolsters and I'm really looking for something with that. I don't think I'm going to do super tuner looking seats either though. I like the looks of the GTSII from Corbeau and like the Trend from Recaro. Both aren't really over the top looking, but offer pretty decent side support in a seat that isn't too radical. I also like the Corbeau TRS and Recaro Sport too but I'm not sure exactly how those'll look. I like Sparco's R505 as well... I haven't really looked at prices (which I'm sure I need to for a reality check) but this is kind of what I'm looking for. Any other brands I overlooked?

I meant buy Fox seats and then cover them with those lol. Didn't realize you wanted to keep your SN95's. Sorry!

On a side note, I hade those seats in my Turbo Coupes (minus the upholstery) and they kept you where you wanted to be. Great support for a little guy like me.

Well I mean I could buy Fox seats and sell the SN95s, but in all honesty if I was going to go with the Mach look, I'd prolly just buy seats out of a late model Mach 1. Don't get me wrong, they do look niice. But I could much easier just get those seats if I wanted taht look and they do hold you in a bit more than fox seats.
