Looks nice, how hard has the install been and what issues did you have? I want to KB my car sometime in the future with just a 6psi boost. Good luck, hopefully you'll get some nice numbers with this!

Sweet. I've been thinking about doing the supercharger lately as well. Good amount of power, and still smog legal.

Thanks guys, it's definitely been a long time coming.

Well I've been doing several things along with the KB install but I've just ran into a few speed bumps that I wasn't expecting. The blower wouldn't clear the FPR because of the Flowzilla manifold so I had to buy a 1" intake spacer. Then the hardware I had bought wasn't the right size so I had to buy new hardware, luckily the guy sent me a spacer for the snout so it still bolts to the PS bracket even with the intake spacer. Luckily I have a hood that clears it.

I also had trouble with the KB bolt holes lining up with the lower intake manifold, sounds stupid but I couldn't get it to mount for the longest time. I've also had trouble finding a way to hook up my meth injection to the KB. Also had problems with fitting an oil dipstick and the first longtubes I bought didn't work out for me. So most of the problems I've been having isn't with the KB, I was looking at the project as a whole.

Nice progress! which model is that (blowzilla/flowzilla), if there are seperate models, and how much boost appox do you expect?

It's a 2.2L Blowzilla with the Flowzilla manifold. I'm shooting around around 10psi; the pulley on there now is only 2.5" so I bought a larger one from KB but haven't installed it yet.

lol. I know vortechs are good blowers but I just never had the desire to get one. I've wanted a KB Mustang since the day i got my car so i had to make it a reality one way or another, I have high hopes for it.

^^ I agree! Video would be nice, And I'm with you too onyx, Vortech's are cheaper, but there is something about a KB'd mustang that makes me cringe in a good way lol.

I ran into all kinds of snags when I went to "throw on" my vortech too. You just always seem to find a few problems along the way.

I have faith you'll get it all buttoned up though. Looking forward to some vids.

Thanks guys :eek:ccasion14:

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having issues with "bolt-on" parts. That term seems to get thrown around a lot, kind of like "mint" and "loaded" when you're looking to buy cars.

I definitely want to get a lot of video of this thing, I'm very excited for that. Shouldn't be too long now so long as i don't have to go back and fix things like the dipstick.

One thing I didn't realize with the KB is it hangs over a lot further than a regular intake manifold, so you have to bend the a/c lines over for the KB to fit. That's fine and all but it really cuts down on the space you have to work with for doing spark plugs and what not. If i decide now to do a firewall adjuster for my clutch cable it looks like I'll have to remove the KB to install it. not ideal.

Matt don't get too discouraged, I'm probably making it sound worse than it really is. Yeah, something about the KB though makes me giddy lol.
