Well, had to drop the right side header a third time. I could not get the bolt out that was holding the chain for lifting the engine. But she is all together now. Back on the ground and running. Sounds allot different. Not as loud as I thought but that is good. I feel like I am towering over the car now that it is lowered. I can reach the middle of the roof with no problem.

Going tomorrow to make a appointment for a state inspection and front end alignment. I will get picks up later.

They could not get the steering wheel straight. I think from pushing the rack around for 2 months it lost its center. Going to have to recenter the rack and bring it back. The front tires were towed in 6* and because the rack is not centered they cant get a good alignment, due to one tie rod turned out farther than the other. Also need to re-tighten the header bolts, and my alternator is screaming. Never ends.

Centered the steering rack. Fixed my exhaust leak. Now I need to get a steering shaft. Rubbing on the header and can't get the clearance I need.

Sounds like a PITA but your almost done now. Just think of what you have done ao far. 80lbs off the front of the car, more HP with the headers and better stance with the springs. Now go enjoy it for a few months.

Well, now it is finally done. Just go the front end aligned today. I ended up ordering a Maximum Motorsports steering shaft. It fit great, but it took 6 weeks to get due to being on back order. Got to drive it home in the snow. A real fun drive on a new clutch that I am not used to yet.

Now I can get back o work on my '66.
