Probably 1 HP and a hell of a lot of frustration/clearance/burned wires.

Save yourself and buy unequal.

I figured there wasnt that much difference in them. Any preference in a good brand header?

Depends on what you're willing to spend, BBK is hard to beat for the cost.

If you want a stronger metal like Stainless..Ford Racing, JBA, Bassani, Hooker make great stuff

Equals are easy to install and if you wire seperators you shouldn't be burning wires my equal lengths have 1 3/4 primaries

I have bbk equal's and the fitment is just fine, also no burnt plugs for the past 6 years. I would suggest having the headers coated before installing. I really wish I did the from the get go.

Yea there such a pain un bolting a motor mount and lifting the engine is so hard. Not everything is easy to install like throttle bodies and cold air intakes. Just pull off the emissions garbage and plop em in

Its got nothing to do with lifting a motor, any idiot can do that, it was the constant battle keeping plug leads from burning no matter how i pissed about with them.
Anythings possible if your prepared to keep messing about with things but when the bbk pipes arrived the egr tube in no way fitted and had to be cut and re-welded [no problem if no egr i suppose] and the fit to the downpipes wasn't so good and no ones trying to stop you if your determined. ;)

Given that there is no benefit to having equal length, why bother? They're bigger, heavier, more expensive, more difficult to install, take up more room in the engine bay, make plug changes more difficult, etc...

I see no appreciable benefit. At all.

I have seen problems with clearance if motor mounts break with equal length. They were bbk equal length on the car. I got mac long tubes. If you go shorty just get unequal.
