Should I Get Some Exhaust Cuts Outs for Giggles?

So, since my car is too damn low i am ganna have my exhaust guy modify my UPR X next month so it tucks up even closer to the body.

.....since this is getting done i was thinking about having him weld in some Exhaust cut outs just for "Shits and Giggles"

...what do you guys thing?..... again it would just be for fun

my car already sounds loud as shit, so if i were to get cutouts it would just be for the track. no reason to be that loud on the street. its also not safe to use them if you dont have stainless valves, depending on where you put the cut-outs

you run the mod class?? if you run the street class you must have your exhaust run through your mufflers...thats the reason i didn't get them i barely run the mod class so it makes no sense for me to get them

i dont reall like the sound.... i was thinking since i am paying then to cut my X-pipe in a certain place to ave it tuck up better that i might just get some cut out welded in. I am able to get a set of Flowtech 2.5 Cutouts for $45 on a friend who bought them brand new but sold the stang.

.... i really dont know if i wanna do it. I wont ever open them...maybe once in a while for like 5 mins just to cause to parking garage mayhem

For shits and giggles, absolutely do it man! I took mine out with just the open catless H a few weeks ago and it was just absolutely hilarious, I have a feeling that you guys telling him not to do it haven't driven yours with open pipes. After I did it I just could not stop laughing about it, it was the funniest thing ever to just feel the entire car shaking from the exhaust noise and to hear it echoing for miles and miles and miles was absolutely priceless.

im not a fan of the idea just cause i hate stock engines on open exhaust. in the words of yourself " it sounds poopie." however, if you have your exhaust guy modify your x pipe, i would have him put the crossover infront of the crossmember. get it as close to the engine as possible. it will balance the exhaust out better.

I heard some on a 98 GT, and they didn't have much tone, but were so loud. I kind of want some. But then again im 18 and a highschool student, and a loud car gets you ass. :thumb:

try it open header with longtubes, you will love it. I drive my cobra around for a day like that, crazy loud... :bunny3:

you don't need cutouts to be able to do that. if you can't set off alarms without having cutouts, you must have stock exhaust.

I HAVE driven with'em open...SOUNDING faster than you actually ARE is GAY! The novelty wears off after about 30 seconds.
