should i lower it? (title changed, pictures still applicable.)

so as most of you know, i bought '03 cobra rims, 9" in the front and 10.5" rear, with sumitomos, 245 front, 315 rear.

i have a few questions about the offset and the way they sit on the car, so bear with me and read all my concerns, and drop a comment. thanks!

here is a nice picture of the rims right after a nice wash, right after winter.

this is one of my issues, does it look like its sticking out a small bit? also, notice how the bolts are recessed inside the rim.

although you can't compare the mounting point to the above picture, this is the rear rim, it is deep dish to give a drag-look. does it look bad? i think it fills out the wheel well nicely.

compare this mounting point on this photo to the photo of my front rim, see how the bolts stick out, and are not recessed into the rim? does this matter, or is it ok looking?

one last pic, i think its a pretty good one.

please give me your opinions!

those 18s? I remember when the first gen 03/04 DD cobras came out they looked all wierd... those, probably because they are chrome(always helps the DD look on most rims), look actually really good. must be the 2nd gen ones

I don't like the DD wheels of the 03 reps. I only like the non DD wheel. You should also look into another tire. Those don't fill up the rim.

I think they look good but I agree with the tires, they are a little lacking. But as long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters

I think i would really like em if the car didn't sit up like a 4x4... Just doesn't have an aggressive enough stance. Other then that i really like the wheels.

After reading all your replys.. ill see if I can answer some questions.

They are 17's, not 18's.

The tires may not have been the best choice, but I couldn't find anything else. Could someone please post a link to some tires you think would look better?

Onyx, I will get a comparitive picture up soon, please check on this thread.

You all must remember I am only 16, I work for my money at a part time job and it took me forever to save the money for these, so lowering would also take time, not to mention ride quality would be decreased.

Not feeling the deep dish? I think they look pretty wicked looking, give it a drag look, thanks for dropping a comment though!

Oo You are a youngin. But ya have a nice car and good taste! I'm in college working a part time job, so i know how ya feel. Also ya don't have to go extremely low, Eibach prokit gives a great ride and doesn't slam it along with some other various springs. That's my recommendation. Just keep workin' on it as ya can, and by time you get a real job you'll have all the basic stuff and the real goodies can come!

My dads going to trade bodywork for some engine work in the near future, so my money will be going towards engine parts, ill look at that eibach kit, though. Thanks!

HEY! I try to tell someone in every spring post I see. Check out CJPonyparts.com for their sport or pro springs. They are made for them by Eibach but are sold about 100 dollars cheaper....I wouldnt expect ride quality would be diminished...i enjoy mine.
