Why not? Quality springs aren't going to make your ride that rough and will improve handling and will for sure improve looks. Your car looks great, a set of springs and it'd be drop dead sexy.

i have to go over railroad tracks on my way to and from work, i have to crawl as it is, wont that be affected?

also, i plan on taking it to the track soon, (3 hour drive)...i dont want to launch and rub my rear wheels on the quarter.

Calm down...get the springs...I am sure most of us try to make springs one of our first upgrades...and it is for good reason. If it was so detramental to the vehicles function and practicallity, we wouldnt do it.

Gotta get springs man or the car will never look "right." Even if it's a 1.5" drop it'll do so much for the look of the car. I HIGHLY doubt you'll rub on launch, especially with lowering springs.

If you're that worried just don't get any sort of "sportline" spring, as their drop is a lot more drastic. Simple Prokit type springs would be best. As far as rubbing i doubt you'd have problems with such a small drop. Rolling the fenders would help. Springs will improve handling, and prokit would be a very minimal ride quality difference. Shocks are also a worthwhile investment at the same time as springs as stock shocks aren't made for stiffer spring rates and tend to die quicker. It's your car tho mate, but the masses seem to agree on springs. lol

That looks pretty good, are the rear spokes skinnier than the front? It's hard to see but it looks like the rear wheel has the same dish cutout around the lugs as the front, i know some of the DD 03s didn't have that.

The rear spokes are NOT skinnier then the front, it looks that way in the pic.

The cutout is different for the dd and non dd, go up the the OP and compare the photo of the dd rim with the front rim on my car.

Lol its funny, rick...

I haven't done anything since the wheels because I was saving for an engine rebuild!

If you all want me to lower it, its not that expensive, but I'll need to search around for the advantages/disadvantages.

Am i the only one who thinks the 03 with a deep dish just looks odd. The front "standard" 03 wheel always looks taller than the rear deep dish. They never look like the fronts/rears match either.

Overall looks great though.

If its lowered can I still build the suspension for drag racing?

of course... lower control arms, subframes and you got a good street car that does track work too

or you can get springs designed for drag as well... ultimately get a coilover set up up front, but that's bigger money

Car looks great man! I would definitely lower the car with the springs you are looking into. As far as the lugs are concerned, your wheels are completely normal. The offset and backspacing are different on the front and rear wheels. Thus allowing them to give you the staggered deep dish look. It's all in how the wheel is cut on the CAD machine. Keep us updated bro.
