These wheels are going to hell. Oxidation, curb rash, clearcoat peeling, you name it. I've never seen anyone paint these wheels before. What do you guys think? Here's an incredibly rough photoshop to aid in your decision.

Well, honestly I'm looking for a cheap fix that will get me 'til next summer when I get new wheels. When I tuck her in the garage on November 1st I might sand 'em down and hit 'em with gunmetal and then clearcoat them. But that leaves the rest of summer and fall with a nice Cobra and sh!tty wheels...

Agreed ... I think it would look good.
Polished lip is always my preference.

Since I think I'm the only Mustang enthusiast on this forum who doesn't think black wheels look good :p I say, don't paint them, or if you do, paint them silver.

JonBeast, did you tape the lip off or sand down to the metal after painting?

no your not. i'm not a fan of all black wheels at all. they HAVE to have a polished lip IMO at the very least. i'd just keep them and try to clean them up. painting them a gunmetal i think would look neat.
