a lot of the custom side exhausts people make would not limit power output at all. I have a hunch that people make a bigger deal out of it than it really is, just like how high flow cats don't make noticeably less power.

I think Tony has said it before that he's not 100% concerned with the power. Tony I think that photochop doesn't do it justice. Maybe the real thing would look different but the svo's don't look good with your body kit. I like walking talls idea of re using your skirts just modifying them.

And of all people to tell how to bag a car... Tony would not be one of them :)

the side exhaust doesn't really flow
yea i kinda agree. i do like how the rear bumper i have drops a little more to match scale of the side exhaust skirts. but the skirt is kinda rounded vs. my sharp edges on my bumpers.

It doesn't flow with your car at all..and I have still yet to see a car that they don't look to low on..they'd look great is the front and rear covers matched but the skirts end up being way lower than what's in front of the front wheels and behind the rear wheels

My only complaint about it. I wish we could still get ahold of the CDC ultimate aero shield to smooth it out but they quit making them long ago.

if you made the stalker skirts work with side exhaust that would be ideal. don't put svo skirts on there. will look like poo against the straight lines of the stalker bumpers.

I feel like the side exhaust has the potential to look really good on your car Tony, if anything your car might pull it off A LOT better than most expect... BUT there's a big but, side exhaust doesn't sound as good :-\ at least imo

now that I could not disagree more about. Love my side pipes especially the sound.

Don't get me wrong, I might've just not heard the right setup. Everything I've heard sounds kinda off it might just be muffler dependent? I'm not entirely sure as I haven't set up any side exits as of yet.

getting ready to make some exhaust vids of mine hopefully shortly both with the mufflers, and with the cut outs. Now funny enough before I did the HCI swap it was a very raspy sound with the exact same exhaust. Once the new heads/cam were on it though it seemed to just smooth it out a lot more. Dunno you can be your own judge hopefully shortly on one of my next vids. Shop is busy to install the cut outs but as soon as the are ready it will be recording.... Then the dyno run will be interesting as well to see if it does add any....

Ive read in a 5.0 Mag a few years ago that side exhaust hurts your HP and TQ. I don't know if they've redesigned them or not though.

The exhaust tubing really has very little effect on the final power output once you upgrade from stock. And the biggest gains to be had there are by increasing the pipe diameter to 2.5" mufflers are pretty much for sound attenuation only. Changing from a chambered style to a resonator nets a difference of like 2-4 hp.

I agree a muffler is a muffler is a muffler until you look at the side exhaust muffler. With the entrance and exit for the muffler on the same side its bound to be more restrictive then a standard muffler.
