The car won't run without the scoop. Seriously. When you run an alky motor with injection instead of a carb, a forward facing scoop is a must. I won't slow the car down a half second to make it look like a street car. And, it'll look better when its molded into the new hood and painted body color.

As far as the top goes, I agree. It should be black . . and someday it will be.

All of that said, no one ever sees the scoop . . just the tail lights disappearing in the distance. imp2:
