Removed all 4 bolts and still cant get it off. So i took the germinating hammer to the water pump section i could get. And well the screw part busted and broke. I dont see how you guys could remove this thing without heat or something. Im about to pry it loose and head to the damn autostore $40 down the drain :crybaby2: :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

you have to hit it in circumference to bust it loose. back and fourth. up and down. i had this issue also before. broke the ear that attaches it.

PM steven and see what he can do for you.

It seems i can run to advance auto and get some tubing i can cut to the right length for cheap. Ill check get soon as i wake up. Welps, the RTV is drying.. not because im waiting for it to cure. But because im sick of the car and dont want anything to do with it for 10+ hours lol.

ugh, i know what you mean. I had to practically destroy the old nipple on mine to get it off and doing that back bracket tears up your hands hardcore.

That is the one mistake alot of people make. They get frustrated with a job, nut, bolt or whatever and DONT walk away. Some people just keep going at it and destroy alot more things then they would have.

Good job keep up the work and take your time!!!

11 hours and counting on the cure time.. hmm im itchng to start her up lol with the vaccum leak.

But wow let me tell you. My body feels like ****.... i swear i bent in so many positions trying to get back heater hose bracket on and off... and the nipple... god i didnt know my body could bend like that. Also, my arms are sore as heck messing with those damn long bolts that take ages to fully screw on manually like the alternator belt and waterpumps.

But if its leaks i might get it pressured tested to see if i screwed up or if its a headgasket.

But im done for now.. the guys instructions said to apply the RTV like a U shape around the coolant section part and he sent grey rtv and not the red... oh well.

Having a 1998 GT cuts this install time in half because of the nipple.. sigh.
