When do the 02 sensors have to be replaced, or better yet, when should they be changed. I've got 232k miles on the car. As far as I know, 02s have never been changed. I bought it with 107k on it, so I can definitely vouch for 125k that I've racked up on there. What do you guys think? Lately gas mileage has been hitting me where it hurts, and I was thinking that maybe it's time to change them out. There are two of them on the car, which makes it 80 dollars shipped for MotorCraft parts.

I honestly have no idea.. but with at least 125k on em it wouldn't hurt lol. It's something you could mark off your list for another 100k+ miles.

depends on what kind of sensor.... i replace my buick's o2s every year. they aren't heated, they cost $15.00 each (i need two.) ... not a big deal to swap those out.

on my mustang, i replaced them one time (in the 4 years it drove). im guessing heated ones (that cost $50+ each) last much longer, maybe even up to 100k miles, or longer. Nevertheless, I'd replace yours, sounds like it wont hurt anything. And I'd go every 75-100k after that.
