dont be fts. wait until you find yourself a nice termie. troll svtp. wait until you find the one that you just must have. believe me. as soon as you buy something that isnt exactly what you want, you will find exactly what you wanted and now you cant have!

thats how it always happens too, it's better to hunt than to settle. My dad looked for a cobra for a year and a half, almost bought a white one in NJ that seemed to good to be true(like the sonic blue cobra you said earlier) and it was. But finally he found the black cobra(in my sig) that was right here on sn95forums.

I have 3 vehicles I'm looking at, but to find one is the problem. Termies are hit and miss, to find one in which I can AFFORD(Remember, I'm only 18/19 in a few weeks) is hard. Insurance on a termy is $167/month, insurance on a mach 1 is $147/month, and insurance on a lets say 07' S197 GT is $140/month. That being said, Here are my choices and cars I'm looking at. Any of the 3 are fine, I have plans for all 3 cars.

2003-04 Cobra:
Colours I'm looking at: MystiChrome, Sonic Blue, Any of the reds,Competition Orange, white, **MAYBE** silver/grey if the price was right.
Mods I would do: smaller pulley, exhaust full bolts etc. Nothing to wild, keep in mind I want to keep the car above 11.49 so I don't need a roll cage.
2003-04 Mach 1
Colours: Azure Blue, Any of the reds, White, Orange
Mods: Full bolt ons(exhaust, TB, Tune etc), and eventually a mild 5psi Vortech supercharger
2005-09 Mustang GT
Colours: White, Grabber Orange, any red, NOT blue because my brother owns an '08 GT/CS that is blue
Mods: Full bolt ons, FRPP whipple supercharger(employee pricing through work)

Those are my choices, now to find one of them locally/affordable without millions of miles is the hard part...

5 psi is enough to get it to 460hp at the flywheel, which is alot more than my old HCI 302 made. As I said, my speed cut off is 11.49 due to the roll cage needed at that speed. Found a termy for CHEAP is Wisconsin, sent an offer, that's only a 17 hour drive, so not too bad!

A mach 1 could be a lot of fun or you might also want to check out Eaton swapped 99/01 Cobras.
I have a weird dislike to those cobras for some reason. They're alright, but I'd much rather have an 03/04 one, as the engine is obviously better and the interior is much nicer. Not to mention styling too lol.

although i can see where you're coming from that is not necessarily true. if someone just bolts c heads and an Eaton to their 98 cobra then yes a termi is better. however if you do your homework you can easily built a forged and Eaton swapped teksid that outperforms and overcomes the inherent design flaws of the termi.

To the haters, I have a potential car, and it's only a 5 and a half hour drive! Original owner car, simple bolt ons(CAI, Headers, c/c plates, lowered) and made 298rwhp. Only 43k Miles. Sent an offer, guy has been lowballed HARSHLY, and is asking a fair price which I can afford. Talked with him and he is a great guy, I see lots of potential in this car. To the guys saying wait for a termy, My car, my decision. I'm fine with either, I'm modding it how I want anyways :p.

just found and read this thread. i think the mach may be a better fit for you than a termi. your goals are little more towards drag were the solid rear axle is preferable. other wise it is still a cool car.
