slight problem come in!!

well today i wanted to change my oil and when i noticed i looked at the crank pulley i see a black rubber sticking out of it have no idea whats going on i have a pic

Fix it asap. I wouldnt run the motor, if it throws the thing out of balance you could be looking at some serious internal damage.

Just finished replacing mine! If you let it go to long it could possibly cause your entire car to vibrate as it did mine. Took me 3 hrs to do and was fairly easy. Only hard part was breaking the bolt loose. Read my thread and theres some helpful info in there.

btw john where did u get ur balancer from which is the right one to get my motor is stock but soon to be a turbo setup and where can i get the seal from as u see in the pic

Well, you do replace the seal since you are taking the whole balancer off, but not the one he is referring to ;p


You can get a balancer from Ford, or from a parts store. Pay attention to how you pull everything off. It goes back on the same way.

Since you plan on getting a turbo don't buy any HB that isn't SFI certified. IMHO the stock ones just aren't made to see serious power.
