gotcha, I would refer to the first one as a cobra r hood, and the second as a single step cowl. I'm just a pita, lol.

If it helps, I've got a cobra r and I'm thinking about selling it. I love the look of the hood but I would not recommend ho fibertrends.

mine's HOFibertrends, and I have no complaints. it has held up very well.

a cobra front bumper, and some smoked headlights would really set your car off. as for a hood, the 95R gets my vote.

why do you say that?

for the price I think the fit and finish is sub-par. If I buy another hood, I will save up another hundred bucks and get a cervini's. My hood required a lot of prep work and I'm still not completely satisfied with the over-all fit. I'm also very particular when it comes to this sort of thing, so maybe I'm just being a bit anal... dunno. jmo

single-step cowls look ok from time-to-time, but theyre too boxy-shaped for our cars.

Why?
H.O.F. makes some real high quality stuff. infact, they are the ones who designed/manufactured the original 95 R hood for the 95R Cobras

That was part of the reason why I went with an HO fibertrends hood, however, I think the fit and finish could be better considering the price.

yes, it was not an allignment issue, it was a fitment issue. The actual shape of the hood is not a perfect match for the shape of the fender. My car was the display car for one of the booths at the NMRA's two years ago. HO-F happened to be setup right beside it as well. I showed them the hood and my complaints. They led me to believe that they would head home and look into it and see about getting me a better fitting hood. They exchanged a few emails back and forth with me and eventually said that the rest of their hoods looked very similar and that the stock hoods on our cars fit just about the same as well. That was basically how it ended.

What I'm ultimately saying is that I'm happy enough with the hood to keep it. But if I were shopping for another I wouldn't buy from them again. I'm in no way trying to bash them, but I don't have a problem with telling others my experience.
