small surging at start up

ever since I did my trickflow HCI swap I have been having occasionall surging issues right after starting. It cranks over as normal and when it fires it will go up to 13-1400, back down to 600(occasionally it dies). Sometimes it repeats this 2-3 times and then it goes away, sometimes it doesn't do it at all. Mods are listed in my sig, any ideas?

What are you using to tune that combo? Mine surged like that before I picked up a Quarterhorse and worked with the idle a little. The 94-95 ecm's are fairly touchy when it comes to camshafts and it doesnt help matters if you swapped injectors and are running a tuned maf other than a tuned ecm.

Maybe your IAC needs cleaned or something. If all else fails try resetting your idle. Maybe you can talk to the guy who did the tune and let him know what its doing, I am sure it could be tuned out, this is pretty typical to happen on these cars after switching cam profiles away from stock.
