So I have a 1995 mustang with a Mac Pro chamber with no cats and I'm planning to swap in the stock mid pipe this month so I can pass the smog. however when I looked under my car it looks like the muffler shop that installed my Pro Chamber welded the emissions tube from the pro chamber to the one from the motor. I circled what I'm talking about in the pic below

Does anybody know if I can just cut off the section he welded and use a hose to connect the two so I can swap out the prochamber? And if so what kind of hose should I use?
Thanks

I can answer yes because i bought my car with a good two feet of hose between that tube and the smog pump plumbing. Though i cannot tell you what it is or where it came from. Just black tubing. I would go to an autoparts store and ask if they have anything that can hold up to heat well.

i've got a piece of clear hose from Lowe's. I wasn't sure if it'd melt or not but it didn't.
you probably don't need it anyway. It's only to help the cats heat up faster at first start of the day.

You can cut it. If you go to the parts store, they WILL sell a "kit" that contains a High temp hose with a few clamps. Explain to them "the tube that goes from the cats back to the Air Pump." If they have any bit of brain, they should pick up on it right away.
