I wanna get some smoked headlights for my car but I live in Cali and they can be a pain about those kinda things here. I was wondering if anybody had any legal trouble as far as smoked headlights go? I already have HIDs in my car so visibility wouldn't be an issue just the fact that they are smoked would. I was also considering getting headlights with black housings like the ones pictured below if the smoked ones would be an issue. Does anybody have any pics of them on a car or know where I could get them?
Thanks

If the headlights have a DOT stamp on them then 5they should be legal in all 50 states... Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and ask them...

Any tinting/smoking on a headlight/taillight lens is illegal in all States but not all enforce it. I live in NJ which follows the rules set by your great State of Cali :( so I won't get them.

Also just because they say DOT on them doesn't automatically mean they are DOT compliant, it just means some guy in China molded it on there.

Awesome point!!! Just remember, a state can make a law which is MORE strict the national/federal regulations which then will mean the "50 state" will be void for that particualar state, ie Cali emmisions, ect

That's why I say call the manufacturer.

So i've decided I'm just going to get some black headlights instead of the smoked ones. Now its down to either of the two below. The only difference is the black corner lights and the chrome ones and I don't know which one to pick. Does any body have any pics of black corner lamps on a car? And my car is white.

I'd go with some Black Beauties. I have never been a fan of the lights with the plastic outlines like that but they should look good on a white car no matter what ones you go with.

Black beauties for sure. I'm with DropTop on this one.

Ya I was also thinking about black beauties also. Are the ones from abc exclusive for $169 the same as the ones from blue oval industries for $209?
