I don't have the money to buy all the crap with it, he won't sell just the shell and quite frankly after actually talking to him about it I'm not interested in it anymore, he's just about making money not helping a brotha out, he's trying to sell it for more than he paid for it when it still ran...no thanks keep that junk

I made him a legit more than decent offer for the shell with no interior or drivetrain and he turned it down so that's all I can do at that point, don't need a hurt motor I already have one of those lol

Anything is fixable lol just think it will be cheaper and quicker to just grab another shell and get to swapping. The rails are bent on both sides and the drivers side is actually pushed over and up

Decided I'm going with a whole new look this time, gonna do an old idea I had for the black car years ago and never did it. Going to look at the car tomorrow with cash and a trailer, if everything looks straight and not beat to hell she will be coming home with me and I'll technically own 3 stangs at that point haha

So after [MENTION=13494]alex302[/MENTION] and myself doing some research and finding out its a real PITA to the v6 to v8 swap I decided passed on the car today and am trying to find a GT roller instead but I am already in the talks on one so hopefully this one works out. Using a V6 car will be the last resort now but I do have a truck to drive so I can wait a little I don't have to jump on the first thing available

Yea i deal with insurance company's everyday with my business and they will salvage the car out because of the back quarter panels unless the car is stupid clean with custom everything and you have hot rod insurance. Its sucks but ford doesn't make those parts anymore and the labor alone to swap it would be over 5 grand easy trust me i just did both of mine. I fix a lot of cars for a huge dealer ship mainly black cars out of there body shop and i still had to pay 3500 in body work alone to swap both doors and rear quarter panels and that didnt include the vehicle i bought for the parts i needed but yea that's why im building my rear end at this point because you don't want to dent your quarter panels or it's over even if the car is a 04 cobra its just a part ford doesn't sell anymore so insurance says bye bye or you can try to pull most of it out and put a shit load of bondo on the car but being a mustang the bondo will crack as it gets hot and cold and with multiple launches the cars bondo will start to crack and fall apart so its best to just replace them with a new set and is not crazy hard to do just a lot of spot welds and making sure the body panels all line up. But you can always buy it back and buy a roller and make it even better. That really sucks man im sorry that happen hope it works it self out and your new ride will be better and even faster im sure. Quarter panel isn't the worst of it, my guy can fix that no problem but the whole front is pushed over, the rails are bent...should be picking up a roller Saturday and I'll get started
