I'll give you the explanation while the vid is loading to YouTube:
My idle was set too low and I was trying to keep the car from dying while I was staging. It didn't help that the other guy took FOREVER to stage.
So . . I have one foot on the brake and one on the gas. I get both bulbs lit (after being a nice guy and courtesy staging) and I hit the gas right before the transbrake button . . so the car jumps the beams by a few inches.
Then . . . I try to get it in reverse to get back into the beams . . . the tree falls while I'm doing this and the other guy launches.
So . . I hit the gas and try to catch him (but he ran a 9.22). I'm so distracted by the bad launch, that I don't notice my shiftlight in second gear. I look at it and thing . . gee . . . that came on pretty quick . . . and then I stare at it for a second or more before it finally dawns on me to shift into 3rd (thus the low MPH). Basically, I made most of the run in 2nd gear . . lmao

No. I can hit 10.30s at 127 or so all day long. The guy I was running went 9.22 at 145. A 9.80 pass for me is usually 135-136. The short times were what got me the ET. I went 5.80 in the 8th.

man that's so sick. And I've had the tree come down when I was in reverse before, that sucks. The 300 shot is going to be stupid awesome :coolsmiley:
