ya see what I'd like to know is, how did I beat the camaro like i did once, and then next time around he beat me by same amount. could it have been due to myself/other driver abilities and the cars are actually equal?
That might be a bit optimistic. My cobra with gears and drag radials pulled a 13.8. Might have had another tenth in it but I feel with the lack of HP your top end is going to suffer.
You beat the LS1 because of his driver error, that car should walk you every time pretty easily.
thats what i thought. the people that watched said I left the line alot harder than he did on the first run, but the second run that he beat me, he barely broke traction. so yeah, it could've been a fuck up on his part.
so what does everyone think I should do to beef up my top end? I was thinking basic/simple like gt-40 heads/cam/upper&lower intake, 65mm throttle body, and a set of decent headers.
the LS1 top end is very good. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that Camaro was 12 second capable. My friend's auto LS1 ran 12.3 with a cam and some other little things.
damn. the camaro was for a friend. i just talked to him a lil while ago. he got hooker longtubes, slp exhaust, short throw, and a slp intake. other than that he stock
Ok,, I promised you guys i'd post up some times after weds. Night at the track. My best time was 13.885 @ 99mph w\ a 2.0 60ft. I averaged 13.9-14.0's all night.
yeah it seems to good for me to believe too. the previous owner was at the track with me and insisted the motor is completely stock. I not complaining though.
