So it all started with worn out valve guides.. whoever put my cam in put badass springs in as well but stock valve spring cups. I just thought it was stem seals until i got the heads to the machine shop. Long story short I decided to completely rebuild the motor. I ordered a 331 stroker kit from DSS racing and had the heads rebuilt. The car had 126,xxx so i guess it was about time anyways. One cool thing is the pictures of the STOCK rocker arms. Crane 1.6 rollers. I also decided to do a smog delete while i was at it. well here are the tare down pics.

it was real hard to turn that first bolt. so pretty.

it took me a couple days off and on to tuck all of my wires. lots of soldering and shrink wrapping. wears out your fingers for sure.

what kind of cam are you going with?

you should sell the gt40's and buy some nice aluminum heads. i sold my gt40's for $500 and bought my first TFS heads for $550.

Well I got the Stroker Kit in the mail yesterday and i was so excited i forgot to take pictures. I looked at a few pieces, made sure it was all right and then took off to the machine shop and dropped it off. I'll have to go back out there and take pics of everything. The Shop has a BIG job going right now so im second in line. the prob wont get to my motor until after the 1st. :(

That gives you plenty of time to freshen up the engine bay. Sounds like it will be a beast.

Nice! I can't wait to see it done! I am going to be pulling the motor on my Cobra soon. I think she is just going to get a 306.

you might want to check out the deal D.S.S Racing has going on. 331 or 347 SX stroker kit for $819, cost me like $893 shipped to the door unbalanced. letting my machine shop take care of that.
