my mom bought my drilled rotors, so ill use them... but i would only use slotted rotors or slottled + dimpled rotors...
the holes are to allow more airflow through the rotor to reduce the temperature.... if you buy cheep ones, the material they are made out of will crack where its drilled.
dimpled rotors allow for more "surface area" to reduce heat, while maintaining some strength in the rotor (because they are not drilled all the way trhough.)
slotted use the same characteristics as the dimpled rotors... They machine out parts of the rotors to increase surface space, while maintaining strength. Some rotors also claim that the slots help "vent the air" due to their shape and direction.
rotors are starting to get really creative... ive seen lots of odd designs, and i personally dont really understand the benifit of the designs, but ... whatever...
i suggest you look into jegs if you want cheeper rotors, FRPP if you want some mid-quality rotors (dono if they sell any for 94-98, but you can always look) and stainless steel brake company if you want high end.
I suggest you look for slotted and dimpled...
