i heard that with a vert. if you run over a 13.99 you need a cage. :( that sucks b/c in that case a lot of stock cars would need them

ON a side note, when you say hard cover what are you talking about? the hard top convertable from the 95 cobra's?

Anything better than 13.99 in a convertible now requires a 5 point. You used to be able to get away with a style bar but not anymore.

thats pretty rediculous. id be willing to bet more than 50% of cars right from the factory equipped with convertible now can run better than that

just about any new sports car convertible is gonna run close to a 14 flat or better, that kinda suks, i know our local track required atleast a styling bar at a 13, i had no idea they had bumped that up to an actual roll cage.

A tuned PI mustang with drag radials can run a 13.9. It's kinda ridiculous if you ask me. When I went through Tech inspection last time and he asked me what I'd be running I told him 14's... He looked at me and said "make sure you lift at half track". Well I got greedy and didn't and headed home on my 98mile trip back home. I've been flagged twice and warned once.

IDK about that one specifically, but the fifth point is down along the drivers side and wouldn't be that bad. I'm curious to know if it's acceptable to not have the rear support bars welded to the top of the cross bar like they are in that picture..?
