speedo only works sometimes

anyone ever had this prob my speedo only works sometimes it will be workin fine and then it will just stop and then start back workin agin

i did on my 95 v6 it would wrk then stop then work then it jst stopped i took tha ins. cluster out and disasbled it and a few of the gears was broke. so maybe u can try that

Speedo gear in the trans may be chewed up.
