spring problem

I just installed H&R supersports springs on my 94 gt convertible. I have stock shocks and struts. I have to say that I don't have any isolators on the car. Now the problem is that the car is too low in the back. The tires are in the rear fenders, I only have one inch clearance. In the front, I don't have any engine in the car but if two guys sit on the front fenders, the tires are in the fenders.

Someone know how to solve that problem?

This should be in the suspension section. I would suggest adding new spring isos first, then see how it sits. Good luck, and get some pics up.

2. You sure you got springs for a vert, and not a coupe?

Did you make sure both rear springs have the pigtails pointing to the drivers side of the car?

1.I'll get some isolators.
2.I'm 100% sure. I got them from AM, it was for 94-04 convertible.

I'm not sure at all. probably not. It can make a big difference?

Yes, makesure they are pointing to the ds, or at least both pointing in the same direction.

Add some poly isos as well.

i think when you drop a motor in, it will raise the back end up a little as well.

I'll post pictures in couple of days, i'll have to go at the garage. I just looked and the springs are in the good spots. They are locked. Any other Idea? It's like a low rider now!! hehe

I wouldn't worry about changing anything until the car is in driveable form.

it's not driveable. The tires will hit the fenders.

The rear spring pig tail thing: I don't really remember if stock lowers have flat bottom or not, but if they do, then it makes no difference which way the spring pigtails are pointing. As for the ride height, SuperSports are supposed to be pretty low. The only thing you could do at this point is to make sure that part numbers on the springs match that on the H&R website, and install urethane isolators. They are pretty thick, and should give you more height boost than old factory ones. Also, dropping the engine will not raise the back at all. There is no third axis in between the two sets of wheels, and you are not transfering dynamic weight.

How much height the ride will gain with isos? I don't have iso at all... not even the stock ones.

You could probably get about quarter to half inch.

The car is pretty low in the back. Do you think it will hit the fender if I put some DD bullit and 315 tires?
