Start of project 4 eyed t top (name to be determined)

Havent been around here much at all in a very long time but decided i need to start participating again. Havent been on in forever but some of the older members will remember from years past. I picked up an 83 t top for a project last fall and it is now time to get going on it. So far have put in a ram hdx clutch, swapped to a 10.5 clutch flywheel, got to install my clutch quadrant/adjuster and have battle boxes on the way to stiffen/brace up the old fox.

The plan for the car is to be a strip/cruiser car. My plan is to build a car myself and do everything to it myself (from body to motor to chassis) so i can build it my way and try to have something a lil different than most others (hence why i decided on a t top). Have most of the parts needed to throw nitrous on it so going to run the motor thats in it with 75-125 shot till it breaks lol. Next weekend hope to pick up another 83 donor car to swap all the parts i need for the interior and other odds and ends. going to undercoat/rust proof the floor and put in some sound deadener i have already. Car is solid and was primered by the previous owner (not the best job but the metal is still solid underneath). Here are some pics from when i brought it home. There will be updates in a few weeks as i plan to have it at the track for opening street legal in a lil over a month.

Honestly before i picked this one up i wasnt a huge fan of them. but when i seen the t top i just decided to get it and now i am in love with them also. apparently i just didnt realize it before lol.

this is going to be a budget build. still with that i am aiming for it to be a unique one that i wont see running around daily

Been working on the project the last few weeks. pulled the motor and cleaned and painted it and the engine bay. right now on the search for a donor car for the interior pieces, glass and a shit ton of other parts i need which hasnt been easy to find a 4 eyed hatch. Hoping to pick one up this coming weekend. I have found a 86 capri hatch for cheap and a 86 gt hatch for more. Gonna look at and check one last junkyard this week.

Here are a few pics of the progress the last couple weeks. it is back together and running now. have some little things to finish fixing and finish polishing the fins on the valve covers. Needs a new rack (which i hope to get from the donor car) because this one is leaking like a sieve

yeah the car is gonna be green/black to tie it all together. undecided on exactly what yet. name wise it wont be some chicks name. it will describe the car. naming your cars is like calling your buddy by his nickname i guess

The plan is for it to be black with a bright green or vice versa. just have to come up with a design or whatever you wanna call it. pry just gonna be some striping etc.

Picked up a 79 donor shell. kid threw something threw the oil pan of the 289 (little too much nitrous?? lol) Dunno whether ill rob what i need and resell it, store it for future use or put a motor and trans in it and sell it to make more $$ off it
