So it did this same exact thing last time it got cold like this (last year) but when I go to start my car nothing happens. Its not the battery cause the fuel pump kicks on fine and the windows roll up fine (by fine I mean no unusual hestation) but the starter makes no noise at all. Thats what gives me the conclusion that its something between me pressing the clutch and the starter. Any ideas guys and gals? anyone else have this same problem?

Is the starter engaging and the engine just isn't starting? or
is the starter not even engaging?
It could still be a battery problem because it takes alot more amps for the starter to start the car that it does for the f/p to run.
It could also be the starter relay, or the starter itself.

With the H/L on try to start the car, do the lights dim?

starter makes absolutely no noise. I even tried jumpstarting the car and nothing happened, the battery level gauge is right at the "n" mark. and the H/L trick doesnt work with mine, I have HIDs...
It just started last night and all summer with no problems and it sat all day yesterday before I finally started it

do you have an alarm system in it? i had one in mine it did the same thing. it took me 3 months to figure it out.( i didnt know i had an alarm system) i ended up following all of the wires back through the car. it was a prologic unit on top of the stearing column. they are easy to take out.

i checked the wiring on the solenoid and nothing happened, checked the wiring on the clutch switch, nothing, so then I got a new ignition switch and got power to the solenoid but not the starting part of the solenoid, I also checked the starter relay and even swapped in a fuse and still nothing, so tomorrow Im going to check the clutch switch again and see if that could be it, otherwise Im still stumped. I hope I find out soon because I have an appointment for side exhaust in the afternoon :BangHead:

and yes I do have a viper alarm system in it

so i checked everything again today and still no luck, tried to "bypass" the clutch switch and still nothing, change the fuseable wire going to the starter and still nothing, so tomorrow ill take out the starter and have them test it, basically my last option.....just seems weird how it just didnt want to start all of a sudden

took the starter up to oriellys the first time and was told the starter was "locked up" so then I took it back again when my buddy was workin and he took it apart, cleaned it and tested it again and it passed, put it back on the car and started right up with no problems, itll get me around for now until i can get a new one, figured id post up every detail incase someone looks for the same problem on here like i did
