I think your alternator is going bad, same odd things happened in my old civic. The radio was the big indicator, but it would run great die with no notice then randomly fire up after a little time passed. Got a new alternator and it never happened again

You can pull the alt off with 4 or 5 bolts and have a parts store check it (somewhat accurate) for free to give you piece of mind if you don't want to replace it blindly. It's worth a shot if you've got an hour to spare and a ride to auto zone

so not every exhaust picture is in order, but you guys get the gist of it. i only used 100 grit paper. i plan to go up to 1500 or maybe 2000 one day, but this was i all cared to do today. took me an hour to wet sand both to completion.

with the topic of the wires i found some small cylinder type piece of metal and i grind (ground? idk past tense of grind...grinded isnt a word...) the piece so i could put it around the covered wires. since some of the metal was exposed i gave it a little spray of grabber green thats in the garage. after i got it around the wires i tightened it up and then covered it with electrical tape. so now i shouldnt have that issue again.

So guys I have no idea what's going on with my car right now. About an hour and a half ago I washed my car and maybe 20 minutes before that I got home and the car was running fine. Just 20 minutes ago I hopped in the car to pick up some groceries and I noticed

1 my speedometer isn't telling me how fast I'm going..
2 my odometer and trip aren't registering (and I've replaced the gears before) and
3 scariest out of it all the car has died twice now... both times in 1st slowing to a stop and it just shuts down...

WTF Is going on?!?!?!?!?

ttocs lwarrior1016 I need the both of you asap since you guys are gurus, but for real guys this has NEVER happened...I'm gonna take off the negative and see if it'll help reset or what not but seriously...this isn't cool..

Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I cant get on here on the weekends. The site wont load on my damn phone. Anyway so its all working for right now?

This build makes me want side exits. How is it with driving as far as noise/drone? or do you think that is more dependent on the muffler choice?

lol thanks buddy i want a 4v, so your build doesnt help 90% of the time i look at it hahah. muffler choice is a big part yeah, but i also love the sound so to me i can live with it, but im also not running any cats so im significantly louder than most cars in my area. im running a full magnaflow exhaust with custom sides and to be honest it sounds a lot like a 4v with borla stingers. i would recommend magnaflow, borla, bassani, and corsa for your exhaust. BUT... you also have a terminator engine so... BORLA stingers all the way with an o/r bassani x pipe. thats just me.

I do love the sound of the stingers. I had already bought a magnaflow before I picked up the engine so I'd like to use those but I'm not set on it. My only experience with a non standard exit exhaust was my old 96 Cobra with shorties, catless X and flow master dumps. I wasn't a huge fan of that but I think it was because the echo effect dumps cause.

My big thing is I've never cared for the stock side skirts on our cars. They look like an after thought to me but with the side exit skirts it looks like it serves a purpose. I have long tubes with o/r x and the magnaflows so I'd try to route mine like you did yours and just throw the over axle piping in the attic incase someday I changed my mind. Does somewhere still make those CF ones or did you just get lucky and find an old set?

ahem..

NOBODY

makes them in cf hahah

theyre one off. i found them for sale in oregon and bought them from the guy. there was a shop that custom made them from real svo skirts. its pretty cool the inside of it says svo on it, but if you want you can still pick up a set but youre gonna need to get it painted. i posted a thread about them called "SVO side skirts: how bad do you want them?" all the info you want should be in there. and if i were to re do the layout to the skirts i would route them like this

this is prokillers car

but the cool thing about how i have mine piped/routed is that i can still put on subframe connectors. cant really do that when its routed the way it was originally intended

today i went and bought a rear bumper of the "shaved" variety. i was told that the bumper was black, but sure enough it wasnt... so now im gonna be doing a paint job project on it to make it match my car. sounds easy enough right? but lets start off with this morning. i took off my bumper. drove to san jose (without a bumper). picked up my new shaved one. washed my dirty car. bumper ended up being way more blue than i thought. took it off. then put the one i had back on...

picture time

20160827_112901.jpg

so i decided why not and i painted this guy

20160827_115316.jpg

i took some up close pictures of the black bumper i have where the paint is very noticeable

thats just what super noticeable

also i washed behind the bumper cause how can i not?

20160827_115306.jpg

it looks weird but kinda cool at the same time...

that blue and shinny exhaust though...

now this is at the place where i got the bumper. it was off that blue cobra you see in front. this place belongs to a guy named steve who i know off CAfords. he is known as foxbody (steve) and that teal cobra behind my car is his

this place is also known as where mustangs go to die since theyre constantly being parted out at his place

20160827_124457.jpg

this cobra only has 64k miles but has been in an accident 5 times and was very poorly taken care of... face palm indeed...

then i had it home and was like...yeah..way too off...lol

i do however like the blue, but obviously my car isnt blue...so i cant go all JDM with different colored body panels...lol

i also decided this was a great time to try to make room on the foam for the tow strap im gonna get, but i ended up just taking it off...no pics of that though
