If it's all factory speakers, amps, sub assuming you have the Mach 460 system considering you have a cobra then it's more than likely your two amps that are mounted to your rear deck in your trunk. I had to replace mine in my GT, it did the exact same thing and it was very annoying. I paid $80 for factory amps from a salvage yard and they are working great still

There is 3 amps, the two that power your subs and rear speakers and bass are located in the back, however there is the 3rd amp under the cd player but thats not the cause of loss of power that you have.
Rear amps are behind back seat or in front of the rear deck by removing the trunk liner.
Front amp is underneath factory

You need to pull out the rear seat bottom to find them, if you need a set I have the pair I removed from my car which I would sell for a great price.

before you start yanking out parts check your fuses again. This time rather then checking the 2 that you think the manual says, jost get down into it and pull/inspect EVERY fuse both under the dash as well as under the hood. It only takes a couple of mins and you will be amazed how often the fuse you find blown had NOTHING to do with the problem at hand.

If they are all good I would start behind the deck rather then behind the speakers. It would be pretty rare that you sould happen to blow both woofers amps at the same time but they do share both a signal and a power connection behind the deck.

Did you use the rca outputs on the deck or the speaker wires? are the speaker stock as well? We really need to know all the parts installed, how they were wired(speaker level/rca) and if here is any other things we need to know about before we could even start to know what is going on in the car.

well that is interesting.

STart simple and check all the fuses like I sugested. We need to be 100% sure that ALL the fuses are good and the only way to know is to check them all. IT will only teake 2 mins and is actually faster and more relaible then grabbing the manual trust me. If the

If the fuses are all good the I would suspect a connection on the deck. Have you had it or the dash out lately like to replacing interior led lghts or maybe a heater core spap? Either way there is a small black square hrns on the back of the deck. If I remember correctly it is on teh top pasenger side of the deck in the very back corner. Get a ight or outside in good lighting if you look on the passenger side of the car where the consol Where it meets the dash and yo can prbably see the back of the radio and that hrns. See if it is loose or if it needs to be pushed in as it could have worked itself out and it could be that easy to fix.

You can get the tools at walmart, vatozone or I have even seen nails and coat hangers used. I would not recomend that because you can mess up the spring clip tha tholds it in place to where you wil need to break the face off of the stereo to get it off.

If there are no amps in the car then you have the mix between the 460 and the standard. I only saw 2 in the 15 yrs I installed and we did alot of mustangs in the midwest. When you pull the deck out there will be an amp under it.

You went in from the trunk right? Lifted the rear trunk wall cover and looked under the convertible top motor right? No two silver shiny boxes underneath?

If you need an amp btw I have one. Spanking NOS one in the original box from Detroit.
