Sticking caliper?

Hi all. I seem to be getting some kind of... noise from my passenger front brakes. 94 GT. Or something up there. Its only when the car is rolling, and it doesn't have to be under power. I can just be rolling to a stop, without me even pressing the brake pedal. It even makes the sound when I'm taking off. Its like a "sss...sss....sss....sss" noise. It sounds a lot like that brake noise, that you get when your pads are wore out. Not the loud whine, but the soft whisper "ssss" noise.

Think the caliper could be sticking? The little piston in there maybe get stuck? The brakes still work ok, but I didn't encounter this problem until after I had replaced the front brake pads.

It is not unusual that after replacing worn pads a caliper could hang up. They can build up rust/corrosion on the piston and it does not allow the piston to retract properly.

Ok I'll take a look at that as well. Once I get the car back from the AC shop anyway.

But you know, that dust shield ain't all that effective. My 17" aluminum factory tri-stars get dusty real dang fast. Need a bigger dust shield.

Getting rid of the dust shield would help with brake dust? Where is it going to go instead? My guess would be somewhere you don't want it to. I'm going to get those red stuff brake pads eventually from EBC. Supposedly they make far less dust than normal pads.
