My 302 has atleast 190,000 miles on it but still runs decently good for the age/mileage but the valve train is getting a little on the noisy side and I've noticed it has a "hiccup" at idle through the exhaust. Here's a weird example.. bum bum bum bum tap bum bum bum tap. Ive been told that the lifters are probably weak, what do you all think?

Well its about time to rebuild it... I would do the normal tune up if you want to make it last longer tell you can afford it ..

But its time to start replacing parts .... Have fun :)

There not called money pits for nothing ...

I wouldnt start throwing parts at it. Mine had 209k on it when i pulled it apart but it still ran great (less a valve stem seal issue which only caused smoking)

Chase down the problem and repair it.

Get us a video and we can probably help a little more
