Stock distributor position.

Can someone with a stock 5.0 just run outside real quick and take a picture of their distributor looking directly down on it, so I can see how mine should be clocked? I would greatly appreciate it.

I think you should be able to get your distributor close with these pics I have. However, you should really set it with a light to be safe. Theres a mark on the distributor that lines up with the block, thats usually going to be somewhere around 10 degrees BTC. You can see the white out on my distributor in these pics I think

Thanks I think that should help. I just need to be able to get it to run, so I can use the timing light.

Excellent. Use a light and the pics to get you close. Remember, find #1 tdc and make sure that the rotor is pointing to #1's terminal too. That will get it to start and keep the distributor from having to be turned half way around the world. lol.

Start without, then time, then put spout back in. Starting it with the spout in just makes it harder sometimes.
