can i get the stock head unit out without having the security tool thing to pull it out.

Yes, I have done it with small nails or bent wire before. The only imprtant part is that all 4 holes need something pushing them in.

wire coat hanger will work too.

those are both possible, but you realize the keys are $4 at wallmart right? You do run the risk of bending the springs the wrong way behind the face and then you will need to brake the face off of the deck but you can do that with the keys as well.
